‘Hello Charlie’ on Amazon Prime Video produced by Excel Entertainment is a comedy that circles around the life of a jovial and carefree boy, Charlie played by Aadar Jain whose life takes an unexpected turn when he agrees to take up the job of transporting a Gorilla. But hardly he knows that the Gorilla is actually a fraudster in disguise. This leads to a super-funny eventful journey that ultimately leads to confusion, chaos, and the typical comedy-movie climax!

There are two things about this film that make it so enjoyable. First is the comedy. The writing is very good and the jokes are able to make you laugh organically. It doesn’t try too hard to make you laugh. Just so smooth! Second, the performances by every single one in the ensemble are bang-on! Aadar Jain is so melodious and cute with his over-the-top acting that somehow fits in so well. He’ll remind you a lot of Ranbir Kapoor from Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani. Apna Bhidu, Jackie Dada is brilliant. So good to see him in such a character. Others including Rajpal Yadav, Shhloka Pandit, Elnaaz Norouzi, Darshan Jariwala, and Girish Kulkarni were amazing in their respective parts. My favorite character and scenes from the film were that of the Veterinary Doctor played by Bharat Ganeshpure. He has played his part commendably. Kudos to the casting team for assembling such an amazing cast!

Clean family comedies like this are made less often and definitely deserve more praise than they already receive! On the whole, if there is something that will help lift up your mood in these tough and unprecedented times, it is this! ‘Hello Charlie’ is definitely the best way of spending the weekend lockdown with your family. Fun guaranteed!!!
