 1. Instead of the usual yet annoying sidelining of the funny & goofy character, Modern Family has given our lovable Phil Dunphy the role & screen-time he truly deserves by highlighting both- his callous and caring attitude towards his family.

2. Cam & Mitchell’s breaking and reinforcing some stereotypes of a typical gay couple in a hilarious way makes us relate to the community without forced “Political Correctness”. Their quirky chemistry scenes are always something to look out for!
3. The brilliant portrayal of Alex as a prodigal teen with her teen issues and transitioning desires subtly depicts that it is possible and okay to be smart without seeming like an anti-social bookworm.

4. With Jay overcoming his apprehensions towards Cam & Mitchell as well as eventually accepting those quirky requests from his stepson Manny, the show stays true to its name “Modern Family”.

5. Dylan is an underappreciated character even within the show itself. Behind all the snarky remarks made by Claire & Haley about his intelligence, he is a sweet, responsible & caring individual which is all that matters in the end. On a personal note, the character development he received in the final seasons is what kept the show from degrading down to ashes.
