The film is an inspirational tale which is a delightful watch and also, the perfect ode to Saina. Watch it for the stunning performance of Parineeti Chopra and Meghna Malik and also, for some well shot game sequences.

This film tells the inspirational Story of one of India’s best badminton players, ‘Saina’. It is inspirational and highlights the wonders that passion, consistency, passion, and hard work can do to your life. Like every sports biopic, this too has the practice-win-tragedy-fall-rise graph. The film is predictable and quite straight in terms of the plot and screenplay. It also doesn’t layer Saina’s character enough in terms of her personal life and her relationships with her now husband, Parupalli Kashyap. Hence, the film is low on emotions and doesn’t hit you on personal levels.

The performances by Parineeti Chopra, Meghna Malik, and Manav Kaul are exceptional. It is the 3^rd Parineeti film I am watching this month and is just a testimony to the fact that she is such a versatile actor capable of conquering any and every genre!

On the technical front, the direction by Amole Gupte is great. The match sequences are shot and edited brilliantly and the technicalities of the sport have been captured with accuracy.

On the whole, Saina is a watchable delight and will be a breezy watch. Watch this film for Parineeti and to witness the Story of Saina with grandeur on the big screen.
