Amazon Prime Video’s new series Tandav, a political drama is absolutely predictable and unconvincing and nowhere close to portraying a realistic picture of Indian Politics or even Student/Youth Politics.

Full of glamour and foul language, Tandav is nothing but a mixture of Rajneeti and Mirzapur. However, with a high entertainment quotient, Tandav manages to engage and is intriguing.

What makes it a must-watch is the performances! Characterized by charming acting, every single one in the star-studded ensemble has performed beyond excellence! The direction is top-notch! A few performances that deserve special mention- Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, and Saif Ali Khan- these are the show stealers! You can’t just take your eyes off them! Also, the lesser-known actors with comparatively lesser screen-time perform outstandingly. Namely, Kritika Kamra, Sarah Jane Dias, and Gauhar Khan.

With only 9 episodes of 35 minutes each, this show ends really quickly without much character and plot progression. The screenplay is very crisp and the dialogues whistle-worthy. The show ends with a hint of another season. Hopefully, the next should have more in terms of character growth and a progressive plot.
