The world outside seems pretty gloomy right now, and what better way to pass time than watch a feel-good sitcom set in literal heaven (or as you will learn, The Good Place)?

If the cast doesn’t compel you to watch this, the concept surely will. Ted Danson, Kristen Bell, Marc Evan Johnson, Adam Scott, Maya Rudolph, Jameela Jamil and many other brilliant actors come together in this very binge-able sitcom. Do you want to watch Jameela Jamil name-drop gracefully? Enter: The Good Place!

Ever wondered what happens when you die? Apparently, we have answers! Everything is at your beck and call, ‘Janet’ has answers to anything you could ever question and frozen yogurt is the key to all! You will be laughing and censoring yourself in no time. Because in The Good Place, you can’t swear! What?! Mother-forking shirt-balls!

We enter The Good Place with Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) who soon realises that she does not belong there. She tries her best to not get caught, as she fears getting sent to The Bad Place, where unthinkable things happen.

‘Team Cockroach’ must wade their way through the after-life and prove to everyone that humans are, by their very definition, capable of growth, alive or dead.

Over the 4 seasons, character growth is abundant, and light hearted, yet soul touching teachable moments leave you feeling pure joy. You will realise that time is nothing but ‘Jeremy Bearimy’ and moral philosophy lessons are surprisingly fun! This show delivers cliff-hangers, while you are least expecting it, changing the narrative and leaving you awe-struck.

Go, watch it on Netflix and find out for yourself why it is so worthy of its 4.5/5 Popcorn Rating!
