A Rom-Com that is cliché yet not cliché. Happy Ending is by far one of the most underrated movies out there. It is such a refreshing watch but somehow back in 2014, it didn’t receive the praise it should have. I’ll give you 5 reasons that make it such an amazing film and why you should be streaming it right away.
1. Raj & DK’s fantastic writing and direction. This film witnesses a peculiar quirk and comedy that Raj and DK’s writing and direction has. It has organically funny dialogues that make it hilarious.
2. Superb Performances. Saif Ali Khan is as charming as ever. The carefree ‘lover-boy’ roles suit him the best! Ileana D’Cruz plays her character darn cutely! Apart from the lead duo, Ranvir Shorey and Kalki Koechlin add fantastic support.
3. Spectacular Cameos. This film has cameos from Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta, and the one and only, HERO No. 1 – GOVINDA. You have to look out for Govinda’s superbly written character, his dance, and also his monologues! If you need just one reason to watch this film, it will be him!
4. Amazing Music. Who isn’t fond of the soundtrack of this film? It has Hits that tops everyone’s playlist till date. With tracks like- Jaise Tera Main, Mileya Mileya, G-Phaad Ke, Pussy Cat, this film is a musical treat.
5. Visual Appeal – Shot in the US with LA, San Francisco and Pacific Coast Highway in the backdrop, this film’s cinematic grandeur is on another level. With such beautiful locations and well-shot scenes, you’ll have the best virtual vacation.
